GIS Developer II

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain GIS applications
• Develop custom mapping solutions to be used for various purposes using ESRI technologies
• Develop browser-based GIS applications, Enterprise Java development (JEE, EJB), C#
• Create, deploy, and access map and feature services on Esri ArcGIS Server (10.1+, preferably 10.2)
• Analyze functional requirements and recommend adoption of new technologies, products, and services
• Utilize GIS and organizational best practices to maintain and manage GIS layers
• Responsible for geoprocessing with standalone tools and Model Builder
• Develop and document standards and best practices pertaining to GIS
• Provide ongoing maintenance of the GIS technical infrastructure including desktop, web, mobile and server-based applications, and database support
• Stay current on developments in GIS hardware and software and make recommendations to update systems
