Location : Illinois (specific facility not named)

Unit : Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Start Date : ASAP – Quick Start

Shift : Days with On-Call Rotation

Holidays : On-call rotation applies

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours / week

Contract Length : 13 weeks / 91 days

✅ Minimum Requirements

Minimum 2 years total RN experience

Certifications : BLS (AHA) – Required

✅ Minimum Requirements\n\nRN License : Active Illinois RN license required\n\nExperience : Minimum 2 years total RN experience\n\nAt least 1 year of critical care experience\n\nCath Lab / Cardiovascular Intervention experience required\n\nCertifications : \n\nBLS (AHA) – Required\n\nACLS – Required\n\nPALS – Required\n\nNIHSS – Required (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)\n\nEKG proficiency – Must pass test prior to completing orientation\n\n\n\n 💉 Key Responsibilities\n\nFull cycle of patient care using nursing process : assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation\n\nAdminister meds & treatments per hospital policy and best practice standards\n\nDocument accurately and thoroughly in EMR\n\nDevelop and follow care plans tailored to patient needs\n\nPatient / family education and support\n\nCollaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver optimal care\n\nServe as a resource and clinical guide for other units when appropriate\n\nEscalate issues through proper chain of command\n\nParticipate in performance improvement, peer review, and shared governance\n\nEngage in continued learning and evidence-based practice development\n\n\n\n ⚠️ Additional Information\n\nOn-call is mandatory; ensure availability for required weeknight and weekend call\n\nCath Lab nurses in this role should be comfortable with critical thinking, working under pressure, and handling emergencies\n\nMust be proficient in EKG interpretation\n\nParticipation in unit-based quality improvement and education is encouraged
