Job description

Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, Cashier to work for a Facility in HARRISONBURG, VA .

The Cashier is responsible for handling cash and credit transactions while assisting in foodservice operations. This role supports food setup, service, and cleanup, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient dining environment for customers.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Accurately operate cash register / POS system and process cash and credit transactions.
  • Assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steam tables.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and foodservice equipment.
  • Support retail operations, including stocking supplies, monitoring product levels, and assisting with closing procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs in a professional manner.

Qualifications :

  • Previous cashier or foodservice experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and transaction-handling skills.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to assist in multiple areas.

    • Job Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of cashier or foodservice experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

    • Job Details :

  • 8-hour shifts.
  • Must be flexible, including evenings and weekends.
  • $17.50 / hr + benefits.
  • Full benefits - healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program.
