A company is looking for a Financial Counselor for the Adult Outpatient Pavilion in a remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Register patients, validate insurance eligibility, and collect co-payments
Assess patient financial responsibility and provide benefit education
Accept payments and reconcile accounts in unbilled status
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree preferred in a related field
Minimum two years of customer service experience with a patient-centered focus
Previous experience with computers and Microsoft Office software
Preferred experience in patient scheduling / registration in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance is preferred
