POSITION SUMMARY

Pediatric nurses will provide support and medical care to infants, children and adolescents. The RN provides expert care to the child while supporting the family. They will assess, evaluate and oversee the patient and report changes to the MD. They shall promote a culture of safety while assuring excellence in care.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Minimum Experience

None

Required Registration / License / Certification

Current AL nursing license

BLS obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer

PALS within 12 months of hire

Preferred Education

Bachelors degree in nursing

Preferred Experience

1 year pediatric experience

Preferred Registration / License / Certification

STABLE within 18 months of hire, pediatric certification
