Overview
The Human Resources Generalist administers the end-to-end operational HR functions, including, but not limited to, payroll and benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, off-boarding, and compliance. This position delivers high-quality HR support across all stages of the employee life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle : sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer process.
- Facilitate onboarding to ensure new hires select benefits, have access to digital platforms, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Execute and process biweekly payroll and associated reporting through our HRIS system.
- Coordinate offboarding activities, including final pay processing and exit interviews.
- Resolve employee issues related to benefit plans and HRIS systems as needed.
- Administer leave of absence programs, including FMLA, Paid Leave, and workers' compensation leave; ensure compliance and communication of return-to-work status.
- Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, and legal postings.
- Manage employee documentation and ensure accurate, up-to-date records in physical or digital files.
- Source training options and assist in developing and implementing training sessions and employee development programs.
- Support audits and inspections from regulatory agencies.
- Perform other administrative and HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.2 - 4 years of Human Resources Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.PHR or SHRM certification preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exceptional time management, organizational, and analytical skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.Current knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices.Ability to analyze data and generate reports as needed.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), HRIS systems, and internal management platforms. Experience with Paycor is a plus.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to handle sensitive, confidential matters with discretion.Demonstrated ability to plan and implement both short- and long-term HR strategies.Working Conditions

Work Environment
The work environment is a professional office setting onsite in Brooklyn Park with occasional travel to other Engage sites located in Big Lake and Spring Lake Park. Pay : $68,000 - $80,000
