As a Marine Law Enforcement Specialist, you will be part of an elite team performing marine-based law enforcement operations. This role involves detecting, preventing, and interdicting terrorist activities, as well as searching for contraband and weapons.

Job Responsibilities

The following are typical duties you may encounter in this position :

• Monitoring suspect behavior patterns and activities.
• Interpreting radar data to track vessels and people.
• Searching persons, vessels, baggage, and cargo for contraband or weapons.
• Collecting and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have a qualifying Merchant Mariner Credential and one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, performing duties such as conducting searches and making arrests. Alternatively, you may meet the education requirement with a Ph.D. or LL.M. degree.
