Los Lunas, NM - Network Technician II

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our RunOps team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Fiber optic cabling, termination, testing, and troubleshooting, as well as hands-on experience with racking, stacking, and physical data center operations. This role requires precision, technical ability, and commitment to maintaining uptime and performance across mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cabling & Termination

• Mount and install racks, patch panels, Fiber optic hardware, and grounding for racks / equipment.
• Terminate LC, SC, ST, FC, FDDI, SMA, and MPO / MTP connectors for both multimode and single-mode Fiber.
• Terminate simplex & duplex jumper cords, breakout outside plant Fiber, and indoor tight-buffered multimode / single-mode Fiber.
• Install fan-out kits, buffer tubes, and other structured cabling components.
• Perform continuity testing, volt-ohmmeter use, troubleshooting opens / crosses / shorts, and tone set usage.
• Calculate end-to-end loss budgets in accordance with TIA / EIA standards.
