Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details : \n

  • Monday-Friday schedule from 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM
  • \n

  • Rotating call every 3rd weekend in Janesville, WI on Saturdays from 7 : 00 AM to 12 : 00 PM
  • \n

  • Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program required
  • \n

  • CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required
  • \n

  • AHA BLS certification required
  • \n

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
  • \n

  • Prepare patients for procedures ensuring requirements are met and providing instruction to minimize anxiety
  • \n

  • Apply principles of nuclear medicine safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others
  • \n

  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment and associated equipment to achieve desired results
  • \n

  • Position patients and equipment to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest while respecting patient safety and comfort
  • \n

  • Perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access
  • \n

  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes ensuring correct isotope and dosage
  • \n

  • Evaluate images and data for technical quality
  • \n

  • Use radiology information systems including PACS, complete required records and reports
  • \n

  • Document all procedure information in electronic medical records including medication reconciliation
  • \n

  • Order radiopharmaceuticals through vendor-specific protocols
  • \n

  • Assist PET services as needed
  • \n\n
