Environmental Technician / Assistant (Boulder, Colorado)

S.S. PAPADOPULOS & ASSOCIATES, INC. (SSP&A), an environmental and water resources consulting firm, is seeking a part-time Environmental Technician / Assistant in our Boulder Colorado office to support engineers and scientists conducting work in hydrogeology, hydrology, geochemistry, and remediation (15 – 19 hours / week depending on workload). This position is not remote. All non-field work will be 100% on site in the Boulder Colorado office.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in environmental studies, geology, or some form of physical sciences demonstrating hydrologic or water resources emphasis; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Software (including Excel and Access); enthusiasm for conducting a wide variety of both administrative and technical support tasks, an ability to stay organized, and keep track of details; experience working with computers in networked environments.

Responsibilities may include project or office logistical support; assistance with computer and network setup and maintenance; spreadsheet data entry and manipulation; report-ready table and chart preparation; document preparation and editing; database entries, queries, and reports; migration of data across formats / software; assistance with Quality Assurance / Quality Control of project data; and occasional field support. Ideal candidates will have long-term interests in characterizing and understanding a spectrum of hydrologic processes.

Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience and will be somewhere in the range of $24 to $27 per hour. Benefits will be limited to statutory benefits including worker's compensation, unemployment, and Colorado paid sick leave.
