Description

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Design tailor-made treatment plans that cater to immediate objectives as well as long-standing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized one-on-one speech therapy interventions targeting areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice production, and swallowing.
• Foster collaborations with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure holistic and cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education for both patients and families to promote progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Conduct necessary inpatient speech therapy evaluations and therapeutic interventions, thus ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Keep precise and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain abreast of advancements in the field through continuous professional development and collaborative learning.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
