The following City departments are seeking an experienced Storekeeper II to receive, store, and maintain storekeeping systems and procedures.
The Department of Environmental Services (ENV) is hiring for a full-time, permanent Storekeeper II position in Aiea. Work schedule is Monday - Friday from 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m. The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) is hiring for a full-time, permanent Storekeeper II position in Waipahu. Work schedule is Monday - Friday from 6 : 00 a.m. to 2 : 45 p.m.
What You'll Do :
- Issue supplies, materials, tools, and equipment upon request, while inspecting worn or damaged items for serviceability.
- Set and maintain storekeeping systems and procedures to manage over 2,500 stock items that include equipment, materials, supplies and tools for maintenance and repair work, etc.
- Monitor stock levels, initiate requisitions to replenish inventory, and conduct periodic physical inventories to ensure adequate supply.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against delivery invoices for accuracy in quantity, item type, and price.
- Reconcile purchase-card transactions daily, gathering invoices, and submitting payment statements while coordinating with vendors regarding availability, pricing, and shipment adjustments.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Special Work Requirements :
May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during emergency situations or to address operational needs.Will serve as Disaster Response Worker during declared civil defense emergencies.Apply today! Minimum Qualification Requirements :
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.Education Requirement : Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.Experience Requirement : Two years of computerized storekeeping experience.Key Competencies and Skills Needed :Knowledge of principles and practices of storekeeping.Knowledge of purchasing rules and regulations.Knowledge of basic office procedures.Ability to plan, establish and maintain storekeeping systems.Ability to plan, lay out, assign and review the work of others.Ability to inspect supplies to determine their operational fitness.Ability to perform clerical functions.Ability to make simple arithmetical computations.Ability to work harmoniously with others.License and Certification Requirement : Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required. Possession of an appropriate valid forklift certification, as required.Current Vacancy Requirements : Valid Hawaii State driver's license (Type 3), at time of application.
