Responsibilities
The USTS NOC team works with various internal teams to assist with Deployment procedures; deploying code and configuration changes. The NOC team also provides Tier-1 support for the various mission critical applications and services. In the near future, the NOC team will also be taking over monitoring aspects of various systems and services from other USTS teams as well. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with internal teams to deploy software and configuration changes to servers, ensuring smooth completion with no impact to services - Provide daily operational support for production systems and services - Monitor system health and performance, promptly responding to incidents/alerts, and keep stakeholders informed on issue resolution. - Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, with flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed. - Provide Tier-1 support for mission-critical services in production. - Develop and document processes to support team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and training. - Implement configuration changes to applications and servers to align with business initiatives. - Drive innovation by automating routine tasks to increase efficiency. - Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of production systems. - Assist in guiding and training fellow NOC engineers, to ensure the team has operational understanding of day to day tasks - Lead project-based work, ensuring feasibility, progress, and timely completion. - Review team workflows to identify areas for improvement. - Analyze troubleshooting patterns, collaborating with relevant teams for long-term resolutions and increased NOC team efficiency.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is mandatory - Experience in Linux/Unix server administration and application support is required - Experience and familiarity in interacting with and providing support to Kubernetes, Docker/container technologies, microservice architectures, database technologies (Redis, MySQL, etc), web services (Apache, Nginx, etc), monitoring solutions (Grafana, Elasticsearch, etc) - Strong analytical skills with strong written and communication abilities - Proven ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in automation to streamline day-to-day tasks - Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team as a team player. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with incident review processes, to understand root cause of issues and follow-up to ensure proper fixes are deployed - Experience with supporting big data technologies (Hadoop, Aparche Spark, Kafka, etc) - Familiarity with networking, LAN, WAN, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, SSH troubleshooting - Comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams to understand servers/services setup, and work with them to come up with monitoring solutions based on best practice

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $129960 - $246240 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
