Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this position will provide key financial support to the plant, including annual budget, monthly forecast, weekly flash, month-end close, monthly financial reporting, ad-hoc business financial analysis, internal control testing, and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Prepare monthly financial forecasts, weekly forecast updates, financial and operational results analysis, monthly account reconciliation, and inventory analysis.
  • Perform Self-Assessment audits as well as ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and reports monthly manufacturing variances and plant expenses that can significantly impact job costing, such as raw material purchases, inventory, and cost of production labor, outplant, qualification and development, research and development, and other indirect costs.
  • Cross-functional development of departmental budgets, including reviews, analysis & periodic reporting of key metrics.
  • Assists internal and external auditors on facility audits.
  • Assist in providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting the prices and profitability of products or services.
  • Assist in providing actual financial results and performance measures to the corporate office monthly.
  • Prepare and post Journal entries
  • Perform monthly account reconciliation is needed
  • Other accounting tasks as needed.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Formal training and experience in financial accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, and reporting
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills
  • Developed written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required as this team member will interact frequently with personnel outside of the accounting and finance departments.
  • Strong decision-making skills : incumbent needs to analyze and synthesize data, and be able to make decisions without having complete information
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with Epicor, Oracle, and Hyperion is a plus
