Senior Manager, Data Science, Generative AI Innovation Center

The Generative AI Innovation Center (GenAIIC) at AWS helps AWS customers accelerate the use of generative AI and realize transformational business opportunities. This cross‑functional team of machine‑learning scientists, engineers, architects, and strategists works step‑by‑step with customers and partners to build bespoke solutions that harness the power of generative AI.

Role Overview

The team is looking for an experienced and talented Principal Data Science Manager who brings a strong blend of experience in machine learning, generative and agentic AI, effective organizational and interpersonal skills, and experience building scalable AI / ML solutions using cloud computing.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ML scientists, engineers and architects to research, design, and develop generative and agentic AI solutions to address real‑world challenges.
• Interact with customers to understand business problems, help and aid them in implementation of AI solutions, deliver briefing and deep‑dive sessions to customers and guide customer on adoption patterns and paths to production.
• People‑management responsibilities, to include leading teams driving incubation efforts in areas such as Responsible AI, Physical AI and Agentic AI.
• Create and deliver best‑practice recommendations, blog posts, and presentations adapted to technical, business, and executive stakeholders.
• Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to help define product direction.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $208,300 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $324,100 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
