Join a Leading Defense Contractor Managing High-Value Government Assets. The Government Property Management Specialist II will be responsible for maintaining auditable records and ensuring full compliance with FAR / DFARS Maintain auditable records of government-owned property at company and subcontractor facilities Ensure all records include acquisition authority, receipt, identification, physical inventory, utilization, and disposition Assist in preparing internal and external property reports Maintain auditable backup data and files such as : Loss, Theft, Damage, or Destruction (LTDD) reports Reports of Discrepancy (RODs) GFP Module or Item Unique Identification (IUID) registry updates Annual property tax reports Plant clearance and inventory reports Ensure all assets are properly received, identified, and added to the appropriate system Verify compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and FAR / DFARS requirements Review vendor and subcontractor property control, including site visits when required Conduct self-assessments to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations Interface with DCMA Property Administrators and implement corrective actions Work with Contract Administrators and Program Managers to identify excess government property Coordinate disposal of excess materials, equipment, vehicles, and other assets with the Government’s Plant Clearance Officer and Procuring Contracting Officer Create, update, and maintain accurate cradle-to-grave property records Identify and resolve property issues, providing practical solutions to management Conduct Government Property Physical Inventories Maintain current knowledge of industry practices, trends, and applicable regulations Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all safety policies Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills Strong knowledge of FAR 52.245-1 and 45, DFARS 245, and related clauses Ability to write and maintain procedures and reports related to government property management Familiarity with in-plant managerial operations and relationships Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and ERP systems Strong analytical and decision-making abilities Ability to research, analyze, and present findings clearly Required Experience Background in Government Property or Materials Control Experience with FAR / DFARS and contract property clauses Experience in logistics, inventory control, and warehousing Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of relevant experience, or Associate degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience Benefits : Health Insurance 401k Pay Range : $34.00 - $39.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
