Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our inpatient care team. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with exposure to a wide range of surgical and gastroenterology cases, while maintaining work-life balance with a days-only schedule.
Position Details
- Employed by Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group
- Schedule : Days only no nights required
- Setting : Inpatient, with collaboration across surgery and gastroenterology
- Support General Surgery while also assisting with Gastroenterology services, providing comprehensive care to patients
- Collaborate on gastroenterology consults and procedures
- Team Environment : Work closely with surgeons, gastroenterologists, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
- Perform patient evaluations, daily rounding, and treatment planning
- Support pre- and post-operative care management
- Provide patient and family education
- Assist with care coordination, discharge planning, and follow-up
