Duties and Responsibilities :
Supervise and train the maintenance teamOversee apartment make-ready proceduresMake regular inspections of the grounds, buildings, and major equipmentMake repairs or replacements as necessary and with approval of the Community ManagerMay assist in tracking maintenance budgetMaintain inventory of tools, equipment, and suppliesAvailable or on-call for emergencies when assignedEnsure employee compliance with the Washington State Residential Landlord & Tenant ActQualifications -
This position carries supervisory responsibilities.High School education or equivalentAble to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formPrevious experience leading maintenance teamsFamiliar with electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and paintingFamiliar with power, water, and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrantsWorking knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliancesGeneral knowledge about building equipmentAble to evaluate deficiencies such as excessive wear or troubleshoot faulty partsOwn and maintain your own toolsMust have a valid driver’s license and be able to driveMust have reliable transportationAble to speak to residents and maintain good working relations with other team members and any contract laborers working on the propertyWe’re invested in you — because your well-being fuels your success.
