Maintenance Mechanic

ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Night Maitenance Mechanic to support operations at the Quarry located in Rockville, MD. The primary responsibility of a Maintenance Mechanic at a quarry in the aggregate industry is to inspect, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and plant machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production operations continuous production operations.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Equipment Repair and Maintenance : Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and other plant machinery to keep operations running smoothly.
• Preventive Maintenance : Perform scheduled servicing on mobile and stationary equipment, including oil changes, belt adjustments, and component replacements.
• Welding and Fabrication : Weld, cut, and fabricate parts and structures as needed to repair or improve plant and equipment components.
• Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems : Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulic and air systems on heavy equipment and plant machinery.
• Install and Align Equipment : Set up, align, and adjust motors, bearings, gearboxes, and conveyor systems for proper operation.
• Safety Inspections : Conduct regular safety checks on machinery and report hazards or needed repairs to supervisors.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and part usage logs.
