LIFT Academy Internship Program
Republic Airways is proud to offer an internship program that prepares students for the workforce. During the internships, we provide a mentorship program, the ability to shadow various departments, professional development workshops, and direct exposure to the aviation industry. Additional opportunities to work with other interns on projects are also provided, along with a housing stipend or mileage reimbursement, if applicable, and competitive hourly pay.
Essential duties include attending outreach and recruitment events, providing quality tours of the facilities, gathering data and information as requested, presenting company-specific information to internal and external groups, coordinating all intern onsite and offsite events, observing the interview process, working with recruiters to determine final status of candidate's application, and performing other duties and presentations as assigned or required.
Education and / or experience requirements include pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields, a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, advanced Microsoft Office skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, strong analytical skills, comfortable public speaking, proficient communication and presentation skills, and adequate event planning skills.
Other qualifications include the ability to work onsite at our Indianapolis Headquarters location, up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns, and eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Language skills include the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.
Reasoning / problem solving ability includes the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Able to read and interpret technical, regulatory, and contractual documentation. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Decision making includes making day to day decisions used to support strategic direction, decisions often require some thought without established precedents or procedures, decisions tend to be short term and usually of moderate cost. Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results.
Physical demands include the ability to move about the work environment, and frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
Work environment typically not exposed to extreme environmental conditions.
Travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel.
