As the Purchasing Assistant, you'll play a key role as administrative and clerical support that keeps our Operations and Maintenance Division moving. You'll work with staff, vendors, and financial units to make sure purchases are processed efficiently and accurately.

What You'll Do

• Receive, sort, and review invoices from vendors. Compare vendor invoices against shipping documents to ensure correct statement amounts and process invoice for payment.
• Prepare and produce purchasing documents from submitted purchase requests, using the State accounting system, US Bank Access online, and Tririga.
• Review purchase requests and work tasks for completeness of product information, accuracy of funding sources, pricing, and coding.
• Weekly data entry and month end statement close for all Trade Services Field Staff SPOTS purchases.
• Research purchasing archives for history of purchases.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move supplies and equipment.
