Job Title : Plumber

Job Summary : The Plumber applies theory, code and related knowledge to layout and installation of plumbing systems. Understands sequence of operation, troubleshooting, and reading piping schematics, blueprints, and specifications. Plumber performs preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot and service of commercial and industrial plumbing and piping systems. Must be well organized to keep accurate service and maintenance records and communicate effectively to determine needs. Follows all company safety standards and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Install new and replacement equipment and parts per manufacturers specifications to honor manufacturers warranties
• Install piping, water lines, compressed air line, drain lines, and process piping systems in accordance with established standards
• Maintenance and service of drain lines, leaks, back flows, hot water systems, boilers, filters, etc. for on demand and scheduled request
• Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, faucets, toilets, urinals, water heaters, hot water tanks, and water softeners.
• Complete site visits, site surveys, and investigate site conditions for purpose of estimating cost of installation and repair.
• Complete take off for labor and material needed for purpose of estimating cost of installation and repair.
• Complete documentation, including but not limited to, timesheets, expense reports, service reports and purchase card logs
• Conduct general tasks including, but not limited to, safety training, service on-call rotation, and maintaining tools and vehicles

Qualifications :

Physical Demands : The ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders and ability to walk the facility throughout the day are required. Have the ability to regularly kneel repetitively during shift. Have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis. Have the ability to work and maneuver on a variety of terrains. Have the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. May be required to work in confined, restricted and hot areas. Work may be located inside or in outside environments. Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
