Overview
Temporary Engineer, Systems & Infrastructure Administrator-Bilingual (English / Spanish) at KPMG US. Nine-month assignment in the Digital Nexus technology organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications running Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and address impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure; including installation and testing of new enterprise system software and hardware releases.
- Work directly with users to prioritize requests and frequently update users on progress and estimated delivery timeframe.
- Coordinate support escalation communication; participate in the development and maintenance of project technical documentation including design, configuration, installation details.
- Coordinate end-to-end application testing, defect management, change and release management, and escalation processes; provide on-call production support, including off-hours and weekend support.
- Provide patching operations support to Latin America member firms.
Qualifications
Minimum one year of recent experience operating in a large enterprise environment with understanding of systems at scale; technical skills in Windows Server and Linux; working knowledge of SANs.Bachelor's degree preferred; full fluency in both English and Spanish required.Proficiency with Microsoft technologies (IIS, Microsoft Cluster Service, Certificates, PowerShell); familiarity with VMware vSphere and Cisco UCS; strong troubleshooting using Windows OS tools (Event Logs, Perfmon, NetSH, PowerShell).Ability to automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python; experience deploying software across the server estate.Experience with Datadog, SCOM, Qualys, and ServiceNow is a plus.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future (no H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or other employment-based visa sponsorship).KPMG LLP and its affiliates comply with local, state, and federal recruitment and hiring laws.
