Automotive Apprentice Technician
Location : South Atlanta, GA
Job Overview :
As an Automotive Apprentice Technician at Christian Brothers Automotive, you will be provided mentorship and training to learn how to perform diagnostic and mechanical repairs under the guidance of a Master Automotive Technician. You will gain confidence, build experience, and the skills required to be a successful Automotive Technician.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Work side by side with a certified Automotive Technician and will learn to repair engines, steering and suspension, automotive HVAC systems, and much moreBuild experience and skills as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehiclesPerform State InspectionsPerform routine maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, etc.Perform honest, clear, and complete multi-point vehicle inspections in service to our guestsWork as part of a team to solve technical problems quickly and effectivelyYou will use your skills to get vehicles ready for our guests, ensuring they are safe and reliableFollow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organizationWorking together with other technicians you will solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver great resultsQualifications
Qualifications :
A strong motivation to learn a mechanical service career pathAttending an Automotive Program or recent graduate preferredSome knowledge and experience in repairing vehicles preferredShows a high level of interest, willingness to learn, and embraces new ideasGood communication skills and strong attention to detailSelf-motivated and exemplifies a positive attitudeA valid driver’s licensePhysical Requirements :
Occasionally lift and / or move over 50 poundsBe able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their headWork in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repairHave the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-toolsWalk / stand for the majority of the workdayDrive manual transmission vehiclesKeeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environmentEfficiently navigate a computerAdditional Information
