The Role

At Sherwood Design Engineers, we value collaboration that incorporates multiple perspectives, and believe that diverse ideas produce more robust and equitable solutions. We have an amazing opportunity for a driven and curious Project Engineer focused on site civil design to support our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for sustainable design, building and maintaining client relationships and directing quality management processes to ensure work remains on track, within scope and on budget. This role includes delegation to design engineers and will leverage and promote each team member's strengths as a unique value add. This candidate should be prepared to work on projects throughout that country and internationally.

Minimum Skills

• Typically 6+ years of industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Civil and / or Environmental
• Experience with Site Grading, Earthwork Calculations, Road Design, Drainage (Calculations & Reports), Utility Layout & Sizing, Technical Report Writing
• Experience in assembling and collating plan set packages
• Previous experience in putting together plan set packages and providing redlines for drafters
• Works independently under general supervision
• Exercise sound judgment on design decisions and in application of standard methods
• Work with multiple site base files oriented in different coordinate frames and varying units

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to : skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Sherwood Design Engineers, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $123,531 to $150,983. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
