Thoracic Surgery Telemetry Opportunity
Ascension Saint Thomas West is leading Tennessee in our newly created Thoracic Surgery Telemetry Unit. This team is providing post-operative care for patients recovering from procedures that include robotic esophagectomy, mediastinal resections, hiatal hernia repair, tracheal repair and resection, and complex robotic lung preserving resections. Leaders in this department are committed to building a highly collaborative Thoracic Surgery program with an emphasis on the patient's experience at the hospital.

Responsibilities include performing basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision, aiding with movement and placement of patients, assisting patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, reporting findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff, documenting necessary records, and keeping patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintaining medical equipment.
Requirements include licensure / certification / registration : BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Nurse Aide preferred. Education : High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note : Required professional licensure / certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
