Fox Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 DMAs and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. 18 stations are affiliated with the FOX Network. The stations produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news each week and distribute national content through the FOX Network.

Job Description

FOX 7 Austin News is seeking a talented and dedicated News Photographer to join our team. The role requires capturing compelling visuals and delivering broadcast-quality video consistently. You will work with reporters or independently to bring stories to life for our audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Video Production : Capture and produce high-quality video footage that meets broadcast standards, ensuring clarity, composition, and storytelling excellence.
• Time Management : Manage your schedule to meet deadlines and time-slots, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
• Collaboration : Work with reporters and other team members to enhance news coverage.
• Communication : Maintain communication with the assignments desk, providing timely updates during breaking news and while streaming live video.
• Equipment Care : Handle and maintain camera and live equipment to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
• Vehicle Maintenance : Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of company vehicles, reflecting professionalism.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate for this role ranges from $25.00 to $26.80 per hour, final offer determined by education, skills, experience, and location. This role is eligible for various benefits including medical / dental / vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits per plan documents. Benefits for union-represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
