FAR Inspections is looking for highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors earn predictable full-time or supplemental income with a flexible schedule. Based in Reno, NV, FAR Inspections has been in business for over 9 years.
What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and send out independent contractors to perform inspections. The purpose is to verify property occupancy and report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.

Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. You are paid per inspection and will earn the equivalent of $20-$30 per hour.
Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you may complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month, working 2-30 hours per week. Lower-volume counties have higher rates and higher-volume counties have lower rates. There is no set minimum number of inspections per month, but work is consistent month-to-month.
Earn more as you become established, increase your availability, or cover a larger territory.

No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
