About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Tech

Profession : Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer

Specialty : Radiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 2 years hospital experience as an Ultrasound Tech

License : BLS, RDMS, RVT

Certifications : ACLS preferred but not required

Description : Heavy call required.

Number of beds in the unit : 4.

Number of scanners : 4.

Number of staff : 4 Techs available 24 hours a day.

Shifts are 12 hours long.

Patient ratio is 1 : 1.

Equipment used includes GE, 1.5, Discovery 450, X-Ray, MRI, and CT machines.

EMR system in use : Meditech.

Candidates must possess critical thinking skills.

Flexibility is essential, as well as willingness to work weekends and nights.

The ability to work independently is required.

Candidates must be adaptable and flexible.

Scrub color for Ultrasound Techs is gray.
