Base pay range

$140,000.00 / yr - $170,000.00 / yr

We are looking for a highly skilled Apache Kafka Administrator to design, manage, and optimize enterprise-scale Kafka environments. You'll be responsible for installations, upgrades, patching, migrations, performance tuning, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

What You'll Do

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Apache Kafka & ecosystem components (Zookeeper / KRaft, Schema Registry, Connect, Control Center).
• Design & operate highly available, fault-tolerant Kafka clusters (on-prem & cloud).
• Perform capacity planning & scalability assessments to support business growth.
• Tune Kafka brokers, producers, and consumers for maximum performance.
• Implement Cluster Linking, Replication, and Multi-Region Architectures
• Manage RBAC, authentication, and authorization for secure access.
• Troubleshoot & resolve production-critical Kafka issues.
• Automate cluster operations using Terraform, Ansible, Bash, and Python
• Integrate monitoring & observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK).
• Partner with engineering teams for application onboarding & migrations
