Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details : \n

  • Work Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM (8-hour day shifts)

    • \n

  • Full-time position with 5-day work schedule

    • \n

  • Administer radiation therapy treatments and simulation with minimum supervision

    • \n

  • Follow prescriptions and instructions from radiation oncologist

    • \n

  • Judge when treatments should be withheld pending consultation

    • \n

  • Assist in treatment planning procedures including tumor localization and dosimetry

    • \n

  • Maintain accurate patient schedules and see patients on time

    • \n

  • Explain procedures to patients and assess special needs

    • \n

  • Prepare rooms and equipment for use

    • \n

  • Provide safe and clean environment for radiation oncology patients

    • \n

  • Report treatment variations and equipment issues to appropriate personnel

    • \n

  • Observe radiation safety measures for patients and staff

    • \n

  • Perform accurate documentation and record keeping

    • \n

  • Conduct weekly chart checks and rotate responsibilities

    • \n

  • Must have ARRT (T) registration

    • \n

  • Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology required

    • \n

  • Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate with Texas Medical Board required

    • \n

  • Current BLS certification (AHA only) required

    • \n

  • Preferred minimum one year experience in hospital or treatment center environment

    • \n

  • Basic computer knowledge and effective communication skills required
