Internal Logistics Engineer
Location : Blue Springs, MS (Onsite)
Pay Rate : $40.57 / hr
Job Summary
We are seeking an Internal Logistics Engineer to support internal supply chain and material flow operations within a manufacturing environment. This role will focus on improving parts delivery processes, troubleshooting logistics flow issues, supporting installation of internal logistics equipment, and assisting with future automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong project planning skills, CAD layout experience, and a strong interest in automotive or manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support cross-functional internal logistics projects to improve material flow and delivery efficiency.
- Troubleshoot parts flow issues and recommend countermeasures to enhance supply chain performance.
- Analyze current logistics systems and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Develop and manage internal delivery routing strategies, KPI tracking, and logistics performance reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to confirm process requirements and compliance needs.
- Support installation and implementation of logistics equipment (manual and automated delivery systems).
- Assist with training, testing, and internal logistics process validation activities.
- Work within tight timelines and support project execution across multiple manufacturing locations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.).Experience using Microsoft Excel and project planning tools (MS Project, Planner, etc.).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (50%+ as needed).Preferred Qualifications
Manufacturing experience (internship or full-time).Project management experience.Exposure to automation or innovation projects.Experience with simulation software such as FlexSim .Knowledge of material flow and information flow processes.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement principles.Additional Details
