Histology Technologist

Job description :

Pride Health is hiring a Histology Tech to support our client’s medical facility based in Washington, DC . This is a local contract or travel contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Expanded Job Responsibilities :

Specimen Processing and Preparation

• Receive, accession, and verify patient specimens.
• Properly fix, process, and embed tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
• Cut sections using microtome and prepare slides for staining.

Staining and Slide Preparation

Quality Control and Assurance

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

Documentation and Reporting

Laboratory Safety and Compliance

Training and Collaboration

Continuous Improvement

Qualifications : Education :

Bachelors or Associate Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or Physical Science from an accredited college or university

Experience :

3 years of experience working as a histotechnologist / histo technician

Licensure / Certification :
