Position Summary :
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will be responsible for the timely and accurate execution of HR operational activities across a broad range of HR disciplines including :
- Rewards and Recognition
- Operations
- Training
The successful individual will play a significant role in the strategic development and execution of team member engagement and internal communication at JACK Casino Cleveland.
Essential Functions :
Team Member Engagement :
Service initiative support / implementationPartners with the Public Relations team to develop / create the weekly team member communication newsletter.Creates property communications for team member engagement, announcements, and other activities as neededEmployee Community Involvement including JACK Cares initiativesEngagement events including Holiday celebrations, Employee feedback / update meetings with leadership, Team Town Halls / RalliesAssist with the property engagement activities as needed. i.e. monthly activities, annual activitiesResponsible for project management, establishing and meeting timelines, attention to detail and follow-through.Responsible for the execution of the JACK Royalty Rewards Recognition ProgramService Milestones – Anniversary (Monthly)
Team Member Birthdays (Monthly)Assists to maintain all current channels of communication including email, communication boards, Facebook, intranet and back-of-house.Recruiting & Operations :
Partners with the Talent Acquisition team to assist with phone screenings, setting up interviews, coordinating new hire orientation, license application review / schedulingAssists team with setup / execution with job fairs, employment mixers, etc.Act as a backup for HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) as needed : i.e. password reset, UKG knowledge, mobile app setup, direct deposit, etc.Attend weekly property operations meeting to represent HR, and record meeting notes.Assists in general office duties; i.e. filing, supply ordering, etc.Training :
When needed, assist as back for Training & Development Specialist to facilitate new hire orientation.Assist team members with navigating the LMS system to complete any required training as assigned by the property training team.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferredProficient in Microsoft Office, and experience with CanvaAt least 3 years of human resources experience requiredExperience in hospitality, retail, entertainment or other service business is preferredExcellent time management skills, and effectively manages own workloadMust be 21 years of age.Required Certification / License ;
