Electronics Hardware Engineer

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY :

Designs, develops, integrates and tests hardware and electronic components to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific and requirements. Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support hardware systems from the board level to system level.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Lead and perform detailed design of test control apparatus and equipment
• Develop schematics and drawings to support fabrication with CAD tools (schematic capture, timing simulation, and place and route tools)
• Lead research, design, develop and test of electronic components, products and systems
• Qualify and test developed hardware, test plans and procedures, and test systems
• Act as Project Engineer for assigned development programs to include : researching and organizing system specifications to ensure compliance with the requirements; developing design review material and presenting at formal meetings; and managing all aspects of the design and development process
• Consult with software engineers for hardware and software integration
• Ensure all designs are completed on schedule, are under budget, and sustain manufacturing reliability
• Perform digital circuit design utilizing programmable logic (FPGAs, etc.).
• Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML / STD / LTD
