Position Summary : Chief Medical Officer

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Morris Heights Health Center is a mission-driven physician leader who will provide the strategic vision and clinical leadership for all medical services across MHHCs 30 health centers.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, thoughtful, and experienced leader, someone who is first and foremost driven by the mission to improve lives in historically underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership - Provide vision and clinical direction for all medical services across MHHCs health centers.
• Team Oversight - Lead a team and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and respect across the medical staff.
• Culture & Engagement - Promote and foster a culture of engagement and teamwork across all specialties, support, and administrative services.
• Clinical Excellence - Advance evidence-based practices, protocols, and standards that ensure high-quality, safe, and patient-centered outcomes.
• Compliance & Readiness - Lead regulatory compliance and accreditation efforts.
• Workflow & Productivity - Strengthen provider productivity and optimize workflows, processes, and clinical operations.
• Quality & Safety - Champion continuous quality improvement, patient safety, and population health initiatives.
• Technology Integration - Ensure effective and innovative use of technology, including EMR systems and other platforms.
• Workforce Development - Oversee provider recruitment, credentialing, retention, teaching, and succession planning.
• Research & Innovation - Provide leadership for research initiatives and ethical oversight, while fostering innovation and the development of new care models.
• Fiscal Stewardship - Partner with the CFO and COO to manage departmental budgets, resources, and financial sustainability of medical services.
• Board & Community Representation - Report regularly to the Board of Directors in partnership with the CEO, and serve as a visible spokesperson and trusted representative of MHHC.

Qualifications

The salary range for this opportunity is $300,000 - $400,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. MHHC offers a comprehensive benefits package.
