About The Position

License : Current Registered Pharmacist licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy

Certifications : IV Sterile compounding certification

Description :

Rotating shifts are 6 am-3 pm, 3 pm-12 : 30 am on weekdays and 7 am-5 : 30 pm on weekends and holidays.

Shared on-call is also requested.

Pharmacy Department has a total of 60 beds.

The staffing consists of 1 pharmacist and 2 pharmacy technicians on day shift, and 1 pharmacist and 1 pharmacy technician on night shift.

The type of equipment used includes Pyxis ES and EMR - Meditech.

Most recruited skill set includes a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.

Experience with Meditech and Vigilanz is preferred.

Service areas include general surgery, orthopedic surgery, a 6 bed ICU, a medical / surgical unit, and an emergency department.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, a team player, customer-service oriented, and outgoing.

Candidates will be encouraged to reach out to staff and providers directly.

Acceptance of on-call duties is not mandatory, but preferred.

Dress code is business casual or scrubs, with green tops and black pants.

Rotating weekends and on-call are required.

Weekday on-call is from 12 : 30 am-6 am; weekend on-call is from 5 : 30 am-7 am.
