Description: For over 30 years, the Park Ridge Park District Senior Center has offered a unique environment for active adults 55 years and older, seven days a week. Social events, recreational and educational classes are part of the overall programming including day trips and extended tours throughout the year. We host over 75 monthly activities, special events, and trips each month. We are seeking self-motivated and responsible individual who enjoys working with adult’s ages 55+. Selected candidate will be responsible for escorting, directing and transporting senior groups on various luncheons and trip sites. Will successfully follow trip itinerary set forth by the Recreation Supervisor in order to ensure for the safety and satisfaction of the program participants.
Qualifications: This position requires valid driver’s license and satisfactorily complete a defensive driving course from an approved vendor such as PDRMA in order to drive District vehicles, intermediate level written and verbal communication in the English Language and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and GPS devices. Candidate must be CPR/AED and first-aid certified or have the ability to become certified (through our district) 3 months after hire. Selected individual needs to be at least 21 years of age.
Availability: Scheduling varies depending on the amount of trips offered each month. There are approximately two day trips, one lunch outing, and one dinner trip each month.
