Position Summary :

The Manufacturing Production Supervisor will oversee daily trailer production operations at Alcom’s Sioux Falls facility. This role is responsible for ensuring production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety procedures are followed. The Supervisor will lead and support production team members, coordinate with other departments, and drive continuous improvement to meet company goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Supervise, train, and motivate production team members to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives.

Oversee daily trailer manufacturing operations, ensuring work is performed to company standards.

Schedule, assign, and monitor workflow to meet production targets and deadlines.

Monitor product quality and enforce adherence to specifications and customer requirements.

Promote a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.

Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues.

Implement and support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate records of production performance, labor hours, and materials usage.

Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and assist in employee development.

Address employee concerns, foster teamwork, and uphold company values.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.

3+ years of manufacturing or production supervision experience, preferably in trailer or metal fabrication industries.

Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach and mentor employees.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control practices.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and production management systems.

Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment :

Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
