Clinical Psychologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

• The Clinical Psychologist adheres to state licensing, APA Ethics, and MTF guidelines.
• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using interviews, testing, and collateral sources.
• Diagnose psychiatric conditions per APA's DSM guidelines.
• Provide psychological treatment for individuals, aiding in illness or injury management.
• Assist inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.
• The Clinical Psychologist performs outpatient services including diagnostics, treatment planning, and therapy for various age groups.
• Collaborate on mental health wellness programs and consultations requested by Naval Hospital staff.
• Maintain records as per HMSI standards.
• Conduct clinical evaluations, administer, and interpret tests.
• Offer mental health evaluations and therapy, applying interventions in medical clinics.
• Advise on clinical psychology, evaluate complex cases, and determine appropriate care and interventions.
• Communicate evaluation outcomes and contribute to therapy program development.
• Support Substance and Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs (SARP).
• The Clinical Psychologist specializes in treating patients with PTSD, Combat Stress Disorders, and Traumatic Brain Injury.

Clinical Psychologist - REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited psychology program.
• Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed clinical psychologist.
• Board Certification: Shall have national and/or state (required) approved and current board certification or board eligible certification in the specialty area in which they provide clinical services.
• License: Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist from any state.
• Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
