About this role :

As a Pathologist, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will be responsible for providing pathology services in our hospital based Labs. During your day, you will be responsible for Signing out anatomic pathology and cytopathology cases, interpret frozen sections for intraoperative cases, and clinical pathology services, including blood transfusion reaction evaluations.

This position includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus andup to $20,000 in relocation assistance when applicable coverage every 5 weeks at Layton Hospital

Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm

You will be on call 1 out of every 5 weeks

What youll bring :

MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine

Residency training Pathology

Board certification or eligibility in Pathology, Cytopathology preferred.

Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one

Ability to successfully com plete Intermountain Healths credentialing process

Life in Layton :

Layton is a community ~77,300 located 15 miles south of Ogden and 28 miles north of the Salt Lake International airport. It is known as a great place to live for low crime, good school system and easy access to outdoor activities. There are outdoor activities for all ages, affordable real estate, and the community supports diverse cultures for all interests. Popular local activities are Hill Air Force Base which houses Hill Aerospace Museum, Cherry Hill a recreation area with campsites and waterpark, Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve, SeaQuest Utah, Adams Canyon and numerous parks with a variety of activities sure to please everyone. Layton is part of the Davis school district which has some of the top-rated schools. In October 2018, Intermountain Healthcare opened their 23 rd hospital, the new Layton Hospital serving the growing population in Davis County.
