JOB SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE :

Reporting to the Director of Facilities and / or their designee, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing assistance with an overview for the safe and efficient functioning, maintenance and operation of all Tuerk House facilities, buildings, equipment, machinery, utilities, landscaping, systems, physical environment, facilities’ aesthetics and grounds-keeping.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Perform minor repairs.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
• Install appliances and equipment.
• Do garden / yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash, etc.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems. (e.g. ventilation)
• Check functionality of safety systems. (e.g. fire alarm)
• Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues
• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
• Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
• Repairing machines or structures as necessary.
• Conducts fire drills as assigned.
• Assists with transportation of clients as needed.
• Delivers all packages received.
• Other duties as assigned
• Weekend and after hours may occur on emergency or scheduled bases. Must be okay with a Holiday rotation schedule as well

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

Background : This position requires successful background and drug test completion

The compensation for this position will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus.
