Oracle / SQL Serve DBA

Kforce s client is seeking a Senior Oracle / SQL Database Administrator (DBA) for a 12-month opportunity. This fully onsite role Monday-Friday in Irving, TX. Summary : This person will serve as the sole DBA on the team, responsible for maintaining and optimizing mission-critical databases, primarily Oracle (v19) and some SQL Server (2019, upgrading to 2022). This role includes on-call support for emergency issues and monthly after-hours release cycles. This position is 80% DBA work and 20% project coordination, working closely with a dedicated PM and development manager. The DBA will be expected to operate independently, identify opportunities, solve problems, and maintain a high level of caution and attention to detail.

Required Skills :

• 5 years of experience supporting Oracle databases on Linux and Windows
• 5 years of experience with Exadata, RMAN, OEM, and Shell scripting
• 5 years of experience with Oracle Data Guard
• 2 years of experience supporting SQL Server databases
• Proven project coordination or management experience Technical Skills :
• Expert-level proficiency in Oracle Data Guard
• Strong RMAN experience
• Oracle PL / SQL scripting
• SQL profiling and index tuning
• Backup and disaster recovery strategies Soft Skills :
• Highly detail-oriented and cautious
• Flexible and collaborative team player
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and documentation skills Other Requirements :
• Must be available for on-call emergencies and scheduled after-hours releases
• Must be able to work independently as the sole DBA
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
