Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Developer to join our growing commercial landscaping company in the Mukilteo, WA area . This role is responsible for driving new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and expanding our presence in the commercial landscape market.
The ideal candidate has strong sales experience within the landscaping, construction, property management, or related service industries and understands the local market dynamics of the greater Puget Sound region.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial landscaping contracts (HOAs, property management companies, retail centers, office parks, industrial properties, municipalities, etc.).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with property managers, facility managers, general contractors, and decision-makers.
- Generate leads through networking, cold outreach, industry events, and referrals.
- Prepare proposals, estimates, and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with operations and estimating teams to ensure accurate pricing and service scope alignment.
- Maintain and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct site visits and property assessments to identify service opportunities.
- Stay informed about local market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Represent the company professionally in community and industry associations.
Required Skills & Competencies :
Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in commercial landscaping, construction services, or facility services.Strong knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance and enhancement services (irrigation, seasonal color, hardscape, etc.).Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to build trust and long-term client relationships.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly organized.Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong time management and ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneously.Understanding of the Mukilteo / Everett / Greater Seattle commercial market is a plus.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for meetings and site visits.Education & Experience :
