Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Production Technician for an 18-month onsite assignment in Armorel, Arkansas. This is a hands-on operational role responsible for the safe and efficient operation of industrial gas production facilities. The technician will work both in a control room and outdoors, supporting plant operations involving gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, and argon.
Job Description
- Perform plant operations such as truck loading, outside equipment checks, compressor start-up / shutdown, and plant start-ups (ASU, NLU, LCO2, HPN, VSA).
- Execute routine maintenance and minor repairs; maintain local spare parts inventory.
- Implement basic Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures and issue Safe Work Permits.
- Conduct pre-job briefings and lead contractor / visitor onboarding regarding safety procedures.
- Participate in troubleshooting equipment, process issues, and incident investigations.
- Use site document management tools (e.g., Intelex) for procedures, reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Perform administrative functions as delegated by the Plant Manager.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, and company safety standards.
- Apply process safety measures including Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), and emergency action plans.
- Demonstrate and promote a strong safety culture.
- Coordinate with national and local scheduling teams to meet production and delivery goals.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of production and maintenance activities.
Skills Required
At least 1 year of relevant operations experience (industrial / manufacturing environment preferred).Understanding of control room HMI systems and plant schematics (P&IDs).Ability to identify and respond to plant interlocks and shutdown conditions.Experience with SAP or similar maintenance tracking systems is a plus.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Excellent verbal and written communication.Capable of working independently on routine and emergency tasks.Education
Associate degree preferredTechnical training (or equivalent experience) required.Additional Requirements
Sh ift : 12hour shift 7am-7pm central timeMust be able to lift up to 60 lbs.Comfortable working at heights up to 300 feet.Willing to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.On-call availability may be required.Must wear required PPE at all times (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots).No driving duties required.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
