RIGGER LEADER

Summary

We are seeking a Rigger Leader to work at multiple Department of the Navy shipyards and maintenance facilities, including Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Trident Refit Facility in Bangor, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.

Salary

Hourly : $28.59 – $50.37 (geographic area may affect the exact rate)

Duties

• Lead a small work group in rigging operations.
• Ensure required materials, tools and equipment are available and in safe, operational condition.
• Assign task assignments for each crew member and instruct subordinates on any unusual work steps or requirements.
• Instruct subordinates on any unusual work steps, including the safe operation of equipment.

The primary qualification element for this position is ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE . Applicants must show, through experience and training, the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job elements at the level applied for. Other qualifying elements are scored and may be used to determine eligibility.
