Job description

The Rooms Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of both the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments, ensuring seamless communication, high guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. This position supports department leaders by maintaining service standards, monitoring performance, and ensuring that all brand and company policies are consistently followed.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with strong leadership and multitasking skills who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Guest Service & Operations :

  • Supervise and assist the Front Desk and Housekeeping teams to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Act as a point of contact for guest inquiries, concerns, or escalations, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and front desk workstations for cleanliness, organization, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Ensure accurate room assignments, check-ins, and check-outs.
  • Coordinate room status updates between Front Desk and Housekeeping.

Team Leadership :

  • Train, mentor, and support front desk agents, room attendants, and housepersons to deliver exceptional service.
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, and adherence to grooming and uniform standards.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate key information to the team.
  • Assist in scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Administrative & Financial :

  • Support inventory control for housekeeping supplies, amenities, and linen.
  • Assist with labor management to meet productivity goals.
  • Review and approve payroll and time records for assigned team members when delegated.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of lost and found, maintenance requests, and guest incidents.
  • Compliance & Safety :

  • Enforce company, brand, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality, preferably in Front Desk or Housekeeping supervision.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure in high-volume settings.
  • Working knowledge of PMS systems (e.g., Opera, Fosse, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Bilingual preferred.
