Rainbow Research Optics, Inc. (RROL), a privately-owned custom and precision optics manufacturing company, has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Technicianat its facility located in Centennial, Colorado. RROL has been providing high quality custom optics to the defense, medical, commercial, and laser markets for over 20 years.

Job Description

TheQuality Assurance PackingTechnicianposition is an entry-level job responsible for learning and performing various optical fabrication processes.

Additionally, this position requires compliance with ITAR Regulations, therefore all employees working in this capacity must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident. Candidate must have the ability to work off-hours as needed to meet business and customer requirements.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain, record and issue all necessary records retaining to QA Packing, including but not limited to Certificates of Conformance, Labels, Inspection Records, Laser Testing, Environmental Testing and Other Required Certifications
  • Ensure shipping summaries and corresponding required documentation / parts are accurate
  • Maintain and monitor inventory of packing materials and labels
  • Ensure parts are packaged using best practices to prevent damage during shipment
  • Work with other departments to ensure shipping schedule is maintained
  • Communicates departmental issues, concerns, problems, etc. to the QA Manager or designee
  • Reports to Quality Engineer regarding order statuses, production times, etc.

  • Education / Experience :

  • High School degree or equivalent;
  • Or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and / or training
  • Data Entry experience required
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite required (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)
  • Other Requirements :

  • Incumbent must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
  • Must successfully complete and pass a background check
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Must speak, read and write Basic English
