Odyssey Restaurant is undergoing a remodel to elevate our space, and we are seeking a Senior Beverage Manager to lead our bar program.
Job Summary
The Senior Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the beverage program. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional knowledge of mixology and beverages, and collaboration with the culinary team to create harmonious food and beverage pairings. Extensive front-of-house knowledge, leadership, labor management, cost control, and conflict resolution are essential for success in this leadership position.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive beverage program, including spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages; curate a diverse beverage selection to complement the upscale dining experience; maintain and update the beverage menu; manage inventory and ordering; implement cost control measures to optimize profitability.
Train staff on beverage knowledge, service techniques, and proper pouring; conduct regular training to enhance product knowledge and upselling; foster a culture of continuous learning.
Establish and maintain relationships with beverage suppliers and distributors; negotiate pricing and promotions; stay updated on industry trends and new products.
Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional beverage service; monitor guest feedback and address concerns; collaborate with culinary team on pairings.
Adhere to laws and licensing; implement standard operating procedures for responsible alcohol service; ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of beverage products.
