Job Description
Die Casting Machine Setup Technician
Location : Sheboygan, WI — Onsite (Union) — Gardner Denver Thomas, 1419 Illinois Ave., Sheboygan, WI 53081
Schedule : 3rd shift, Sunday 11 : 00 p.m. start through Friday 7 : 00 a.m. end (11 : 00 p.m.–7 : 00 a.m.)
Your Nightly Rhythm
It’s just before midnight on Sunday as production comes alive. You secure your protective gear, review the process sheet, and move to your assigned die casting cell. You confirm the die condition, verify the setup, and work with your Supervisor or Group Leader to double-check readiness before the first shot. As alloys heat and cycle times stabilize, you fine-tune machine settings, keep a close eye on part quality, and document checks on the required timeline. When needed, you pivot—setting up the ladle, auto-spray, robotic interface, or trim press to keep throughput on pace. If a hiccup appears, you troubleshoot and assist maintenance to restore uptime.
